Man, 27, charged in stabbing death

A 27-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder for thestabbing death ofJordan McIvor.

Joedy Joseph Lavallee has also been charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation.

He has been detained in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.

McIvor, 19, died in hospital Tuesday morning after being found injured near a Winnipeg apartment complex at 1585 Notre Dame Ave.

According to police, the two menwere arguing before McIvorwas stabbed.

McIvor's death is the city's seventh homicide of 2010.
