Man's body found after Swan River house fire

RCMP in Swan River, Man., are investigating after a 64-year-old man's body was found in a home destroyed by fire over the weekend.

RCMP in Swan River, Man., are investigating after a 64-year-old man's body was found in a home that was destroyed by fire over the weekend.

The Main Street home was fully engulfed in flames when RCMP arrived at the scene shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday.

The body of the man was found inside. Police say he was the lone resident of the home.

Officers with the RCMP's Major Crime Services and the Swan River detachment are investigating the case with the help of the provincial Office of the Fire Commissioner.

RCMP did not release any other details, including the man's name.
