The Province of Manitoba has launched a new mental health website aimed at teens to kick off Mental Health Awareness Week.

StressHacks offers mental health tips to children and youth. It also gives young people access to resources available to them and how to access them.

It also gives tips on how to promote positive mental health.

The site is part of a $2-million commitment to youth mental health.

Officials said the idea came about after consultations with youth and other provinces dating back to 2011.

The groups warned there was a lack of easily available information on mental health supports for young people, provincial officials said.

The site will be geared toward young people between 10 and 24.
