Manitoban finds favourite musician stranded on the side of Highway 16

It sounds like the beginning of a song, driving down Highway 16 the radio turns off, the lights shut down and the car stalls.

However, for Mandy Rogasky the lyrics turned into reality when a driver stranded on the side of the road turned out to be her favourite musician.

Over the weekend, Rogasky and her husband, Tim, helped Sierra Noble boost her car just outside Shoal Lake, Man.

"We just thanked the universe and said that the stars lined up and we were meant to meet each other," Rogasky said.

After four years living in New York City and Nashville,sharing the stage with musical greats like Bon Jovi and Paul McCartney, Winnipeg's Noble was travelling across Canada when her alternator went.

Luckily, Rogansky and her husband were driving home to Shoal Lake from Winnipeg. They pulled over to help the people, who they didn't know at the time, stranded on the side of the road.

"They said that they were on their way to Greenwater Lake Saskatchewan and the driver said she was a musician on the Home Routes Tour and I just had this gut feeling that I knew who this woman was," Rogansky said.

Rogansky asked the driver's name and she replied, "Sierra Noble."

"I honestly just looked at her in shock and disbelief," Rogansky said.

"It just truly is remarkable that I was just talking about Sierra and how she opened up for Paul McCartney and now here I am helping her on the side of the road in front of my hometown while she's on tour."

The Roganskys tried to give the musician's car a boost but unfortunately it wasn't going to get them going again, so the couple led them into town and showed them a hotel and mechanic.

"She grabbed her CD, signed a message inside that said, 'To my guardian Angels Tim and Mandy Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Love Sierra Noble'," Rogansky said.

"She is so sweet and so kind and so sincere and so polite and just the nicest person."
