Missing 11-year-old girl found safe: Winnipeg police

An 11-year-old girl whowent missing in Winnipeg last week has been found safe, citypolice say.

She was last seen at around 9 p.m. on Friday near Edderton Avenue and Derek Street, in the Fort Garry area,police said in a news release earlier this week.

Police said in a news release Thursday afternoon she had been found safe.

CBC News has removed her name and photo to protect her identity now that she's been found.
