This weekend, Manitoba's New Democrats must decide whether to keep Greg Selinger as party leader and premier, or whether to change course with one of two challengers Theresa Oswald or Steve Ashton.

In the lead-up to the March 8leadership convention in Winnipeg, the three candidates went fromconstituency to constituency to shore up advancesupport from delegates.

As of March 4, CBC's constituencydelegate and Manitoba Young New Democrat (MYND) delegate tallies are as follows:

Constituency delegates:

  • Ashton: 482
  • Selinger:415
  • Oswald:336
  • Independent: 7
  • Total constituency delegates: 1,240

MYNDdelegates:

  • Oswald: 91
  • Ashton: 1
  • Selinger: 0

Union support:

  • Selinger: CUPE (288), UFCW Local 0832 (160)
  • Ashton: United Fire Fighters (25), United Steelworkers(61)
  • Oswald: IBEWLocal 2085 (15)
