Pedestrian hit by car at Balmoral and Cumberland

A vehicle hit a pedestrian at a busy Winnipeg intersection Monday afternoon.

Police told CBC a female pedestrianwas struck just before 3:30 p.m. at the corner of Balmoral Street and Cumberland Avenue.

Police closed the streetsand askedthe public to avoid the area but the streets were re-opened to trafficby 4:30 p.m.

Police said the womanis recovering in stable condition.
