Homicide unit investigates woman's death at Pritchard Avenue home

Winnipeg police say homicide officers are investigating thedeath of a woman whose body was found inside ahome on Pritchard Avenue.

Several police units, including theidentification unit, surrounded the North End housefor several hours on Monday.

Police tape surrounded the 1-storey brick home at 298 Pritchard Ave., just off the corner of Charles Street.Identification officers wereseen going in and out of the house with small evidence bags.

According to police, emergency crews were called to the home at about 10:40 a.m. onreports that a person at that address may be injured.

Officers arrived to find a woman deceased, according to police, who added that the circumstances surrounding her death are not confirmed at this time.
