Rainfall warning issued for parts of southeast Manitoba
It's a soggy Sunday in parts of southern Manitoba today, with some areas east of Winnipeg currently under a rainfall warning.
The weather agency says 20 to 40 millimetres of rain could fall in the area by Sunday evening, adding to the 30 to 60 millimetres that fell on Saturday.
In Winnipeg, it has been raining on and off throughout the day.
Somemotorists reportedlargepuddles at the Jubileeunderpass on Pembina Highway, but a City of Winnipeg spokesperson told CBC News that traffic is flowing in both directions at the underpass.
While the rain did not stop runners from taking partin the Manitoba Marathon on Sunday morning, it has forced the Winnipeg Goldeyes to postpone its game against the St. Paul Saintsa second time.
The game had been suspended on Saturday evening due to rain. No make-up dates have been set yet, according to the team.
The Red River Exhibition'sRide of Rides, its horse-jumping show,was cancelled on Sunday "due to a very wet show ring," the Ex posted on Twitter.
