Rescuers with Manitoba Underdogs Rescue believe Solo got herpaw stuck in something, and her mother may have chewed it off to set her free.

The puppywas found with a badly infected stump, but rescuers have since treated her.

She remains severely anemic and requires surgery to amputate the rest of her leg, but the rescue needs help raising the $1,500 for the operation.

They're asking the public to help with donations, whichcan be made at Southglen Veterinary Hospital or at the Manitoba Underdogs website at www.manitobaunderdogs.org/donate.
