Residential parking ban takes effect in Winnipeg on Friday

Snow plows will start clearing Winnipeg's residential streets on Friday morning.

The City of Winnipeg has declared a residential parking ban that will begin Friday at 7 a.m.

Winnipeggers in snow zones A, F, I, M, P, Q, T and U should move their vehicles between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. that day or risk getting ticketed and/or towed.

Citizens are urged to look up their snow zone letter in advance on the city's Know Your Zone website.

Meanwhile, the city's declared snow route parking ban remains in effect, meaning vehicles cannot park on designated snow routes every night between midnight and 7 a.m.
