Marie and Kirby Fontaine won a $50 million lottery jackpot in 2009. Since then, theyve been making massive donations to charities around Christmas time every year.

This year, theyve hit Siloam Mission, the Christmas Cheer Board, the Dream Factory, Winnipeg Harvest and Rossbrook House, a drop in centre for kids.

Rossbrook House got $100,000 from the couple.

Theyre just marvellous people. Just so, so kind and generous, and they remember their roots, said Phil Chiappetta, the executive director of Rossbrook House. They were here when they were young kids, and they never forget us.

In 2013, they dropped off $100,000 cheques for Winnipeg Harvest, The Christmas Cheer Board, Rossbrook House, Siloam Mission and The Winnipeg Girls and Boys Club.
