Nearly 300 people searched the area around Portage la Prairie, Man., on Saturday, looking for a24-year-old woman who was last seen on Oct. 18.

Searchers used boats, horses, dogs and ATVs in the unsuccessful hunt for Amber McFarland.

Volunteers and professional teams from Manitoba Search and Rescue Association (MSAR) combed fields, bush, and the Assiniboine River.

A $20,000reward was posted for information that helps searchers find McFarland, who was last seen early in the morning hours of Oct. 18 at a bar in the city of 12,700, located about 70 kilometres west of Winnipeg.

While the searchers did not find McFarland, they located two men who were lost in the bush after their ATVs broke down.

"These guys were very happy we found them because they were stuck there last night," said George Leonard of MSAR.
