Skywalk linking hotel, Winnipeg's convention centre reopens

The skywalkconnecting the Delta Hotel and RBC Convention Centre in downtown Winnipeg is finally reopening but only temporarily.

The skywalk was shut downApril 9 after inspectors noticed it needed structural repairs.

It reopensFridayand will stayopen until after the Grey Cup festivities have concluded. Thenit willclose briefly,for one last time,to allow crews to removeconstructionmaterials.

After that itwill be permanently reopenedfor pedestrians, a news release from the city stated.
