Stolen SUV runs wild in west Winnipeg

Winnipeg police are asking the public to keep a keen eye out for a black SUV that is believed stolen and that was being driven erratically around parts of the city on Sunday.

The vehicle was involved in a police chase shortly after 7 a.m. CT after officers received reports it was being driven dangerouslyin the area ofSt. James Street and Stradford Avenue, Const. Jason Michalyshen said.

The vehicle was also spotted on Atcheson Drive and at several pointsalong Ness Avenue.

Police said that while no injuries have been reported, the SUV was involved in a number ofcrashes where property was damaged.

"At this point, it does appear we're dealing with a stolen vehicle," Michalyshen said.
