Tanya Nepinak, 31, has been missing since Sept. 13, according to worried family members.

A 31-year-old Winnipeg woman has been missing for at least nine days, prompting worried family members to issue an appeal for any information about her whereabouts.

Tanya Jane Nepinak was last seen on Sept. 13, when she told her mother she was going to a pizza restaurant a few blocks away from her home.

"There's not one day she'll go without phoning my mom," her sister, Gail Nepinak, told CBC News on Thursday.

"There's no way she'd just walk away."

Family members have been putting up posters around their West End neighbourhood, hoping someone who may have seen Tanya will call police.

Tanya Nepinak was last seen carrying $5 as she left her Sherbrook Street home around 11 p.m. on Sept. 13 to get a drink at Papa Guido's, located on Ellice Avenue and Home Street.

Nepinak was seen frequently at Papa Guido's, according to family members. However, a server at the pizza place could not recognize her from a poster on Thursday evening.

Running out of answers, Gail Nepinak said her worst fears are creeping in "that they find her body or something, and it'll be too late for her."

Tanya Nepinak is described as five feet two inches in height, weighing up to 100 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair, and a red birthmark on the left side of her forehead.

She has the letters of her first name tattooed on the fingers of her left hand, and she was last seen wearing a black hat, a short black coat and jeans, according to family members.

Anyone with information about Tanya Nepinak is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service's missing persons unit or Crime Stoppers.
