Manitoba scores poor grades in a new report on hospital wait times, issued by the Wait Time Alliance.

A report card on healthcare wait times is out and Manitoba has some work to do to get its grades up.

The study was completed by the Wait Time Alliance, a group made up of 14 national medical organizations.

The good news is that Manitoba scores an A in coronary artery surgery and radiation therapy. But the province gets poor or failing grades in several other categories.

Wait times for prostate cancer treatment and bypass surgery received an F.

And Manitoba got Ds for joint replacement for hips and knees, as well as an overall grade of D for cancer care.

The province also received a grade of C for its wait-time website for health services.
