The police documents allege that an undercover officer met Ackman and two girls aged 14 and 17in the lobby of a local hotel on July 23.

Ackman negotiated $300 from the officer for sexual favours from the 17-year-old girl, while the 14-year-old would watch and be "groomed for the business," according to the documents.

Less than a month after he was arrested,Ackman was officially declared an Independent candidateinthe Sept. 4 provincial byelection in Fort Whyte, a riding in the Winnipeg area.

Elections Manitoba has confirmed that Ackman submitted the name of more than 100 Fort Whyte voters who support his candidacy, a requirement for all candidates.

Teens openly admitted ages to police

According to police, when the undercover officer met with Ackman and the two girls in the hotel lobby, both teens openly admitted that they were 14 and 17 years old.

Ackman was arrested that same day.

In the documents, police allege that the girls had been introduced into prostitution by Ackman earlier in July.

The 17-year-old told police that Ackman arranged seven "dates," in which she was forced to perform sex acts on clients, and he took half of the money she earned.

The older teen also told police that she saw video footage of the 14-year-old girl, naked, in Ackman's video camera and laptop computer in his home, according to the police documents.

Police officers later searched Ackman's basement apartment in the city's Waverley West neighbourhood and seized cameras and computer hard drives.

Earlier this year, Ackman had been filming young women in Winnipeg and posting the videos on YouTube under the name "MrJetztv."

Police say they believe there may be several more underage victims.
