Woman wakes to find intruder in Ile Des Chenes home

RCMP are looking for a man who broke into a sleeping womans home and tried to get into bed with her.

On Saturday night, a 27-year-old woman and her three children were sleeping in their Ile des Chenes home shortly before midnight when a man broke in through the garage door.

The man went upstairs and into the womans bedroom. According to RCMP, he tried to get into bed with the woman. After a brief struggle the man fled the home.

The RCMP major crimes unit and forensic identification section are now investigating the home invasion.

No arrests have been made, and officers are reminding residents to keep their homes secured at all times.
