Suspects wanted in Winnipeg Remembrance Day poppy box thefts

Winnipeg police have released images of two men who are believed to have stolen a poppy box with an unknown amount of cash in it from a CAA office on McPhillips Street on Nov. 3.

Winnipeg police have released images oftwo men who are believed to have stolen a poppy box with an unknown amount of cash in it from aCAAofficeonMcPhillipsStreet on Nov. 3.

One of the suspects is also wanted for stealing another poppy box from a grocery store in the 1800 block of Burrows Avenue two days later, on Nov. 5.

The second suspect in an incident involving a stolen poppy box. Police are looking for this suspect after his alleged involvement in another incident involving a stolen poppy box on Nov. 5

The incident happened one day before a poppy box was stolen at a Subway restaurant in the 1500 block of St. Mary's Road.

The first suspect is described as around 25 years old, and tallwith an average build. He has dark hair and was wearing red runners, darkpants, a red T-shirt, adark waist-length jacket with a hoodand dark baseball cap at the time of the incident.

The second suspect, who police are looking for after his involvement in both incidents, is described as around 25 years old, and slightly shorter than the first suspect with a heavier build. He was wearing blue jeans, dark footwear and an NYACdark hoody at the time of the incident.
