This weekend, a Winnipeg restaurant is being transformed into a temporary art studio.

Talia Syrie, owner and chef at The Tallest Poppy, is inviting customers to dine with a bit of a show.

Wanda Luna is a multidisciplinaryChilean artist who will be in the restaurant all weekend as part of her artist-in-residence program.

Patrons will beencouraged to interact with her and ask questions. Some may even be asked to participate in her art, depending on what Luna chooses to do.

"She'llbe painting and she'salso going to be doing storytelling and sort of talking to people about the work that she's doing and the work that she does in general,"Syrie told CBC Newson Friday.

Luna is the fourth artist that The Tallest Poppy has hosted.Syrie saidone of the artists painted the restaurant's tables, another one paintedthe walls, while the third did a performance piece.

"It's been really interesting," Syrie said.

"At first [customers] are sort of confused by it because it's not what they expect to see. Certainly, you know, they come here expecting just to eat food, and then there's the interesting, engaging performance going on and it's very accessible."
