Rainfall warnings are now in effect for northwestern Manitoba, after a storm walloped southwestern Manitoba on its way east.

A low-pressure system coming from Saskatchewan is bringing widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms, Environment Canada said.

The precipitation is expected to move slowly through western Manitoba, and hit hard in the north. Fifty to 75 millimetrescan be expected in some areas before the precipitation tapers off on Monday

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible, Environment Canada said.

Rainfall warnings are in effect for:

  • The Pas -Wanless-Westray- Clearwater Lake Prov. Park
