Three Progressive Conservatives will be added to the list of Senate nominees that Alberta sends to Ottawa.

The would-be Tory Senators took the most votes as their party swept back into office in Mondays landslide win.

Doug Black, a Calgary lawyer and the chairman of the University of Calgarys board of governors, won one of the three slots.

Scott Tannas, who owns a financial services firm based in High River, was also successful.

And Mike Shaikhchairman of the Calgary Police Commissionnarrowly defeated Wildrose candidate Raymond Germain for the third Senator-in-waiting position.
