Hillarys body was found in a field just outside of Winnipeg on Aug. 20, 2009.

At the time, RCMP said they were treating Wilsons death as a homicide, but so far, no arrests have been made in the case.

Gwen Wilson, Hillarys mom, held a small vigil for her at 6 p.m. at Selkirk Avenue and McKenzie Street. About 20people attended the vigil.

In previous years, Gwen organized memorial walks for her daughter, but in 2013, she said she could no longer do it.

The vigil comes one day after more than 2,000 people gathered to remember slain 15-year-old Tina Fontaine and Faron Hall. Both Fontaine and Halls body were found in the Red River on Sunday.

Police are actively looking for tips in Fontaines case and said Halls death is not suspicious.

Hillarys family still holds out hope someone will come forward with information.
