Winnipeg Jets fans heartbroken but still optimistic after Game 3 loss

The Winnipeg Jets' 5-4 overtimeloss to the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night was tough for many fans in the Manitoba capital.

The lossmeans the Jets are now down 3-0 in the first round of the NHL playoffs.

It was also a bitter end to the Jets' first playoff game on home ice in almost 19 years.

A sea of white jerseys, shirts and towels flooded the MTS Centreas part of the Winnipeg Whiteout, and fans loudly cheered for the home team right until the end.

"It's such a letdown. It was such a crazy atmosphere, it was so amazing to be there. It was so loud, everybody was so excited," said Amber Dyck.

"We thought we had this one, and we didn't."

Somefans, like Garrett Malcolm, remain hopeful that the team can come back in the next game, slated for Wednesday.

"We saw the L.A. Kings come back from down 3-0 last year and I think we can do it," Malcolm said. "So I'm going to be there for Game 4 and I think we can do it."
