Winnipeg man convicted in triple murder

A Winnipeg man has been found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder in connection with a shooting rampage at a house party three years ago.

A Winnipeg man has been found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder in connection with a shooting rampage at a house partythree years ago.

Colton Patchinose, 21,was found guilty on Wednesday for his part in the shooting deaths of Scott Lavallee, 31, Corey Keeper, 22,and Jennifer Ward, 26,at a party on Alexander Avenue in March 2008.

Three others were wounded two men, aged 19 and 29, and a 41-year-old woman but survived the attack.

Patchinose is expected to receive a life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.

On March 25 a teen was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder in the same incident.

The youth, now 17,was 15 when he was charged in connection with the killings and cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The Crown has said it will be seeking an adult term at an upcoming sentencinghearing. The teen has been in custody since his arrest the day after the killings.
