A 30-year-old man who was working at Seven Oaks Hospital has been firedas a family patient care manager and is accused of using forged documents to get the job.

Winnipeg police said they began their investigation Monday, after concerns were first raised about the man's credentials.

They said the College of Physiotherapists checked and found the man was not a licensed physiotherapist as he had claimed and that the documents he provided were likely forged.

He was immediately fired and Seven Oaks contacted police.

Police said he had no contact with patients and had a part-time administrative position.

The man was arrested Tuesday and charged with fraud over $5,000 and forgery and has been released on a promise to appear.
