Winnipeg man pleads guilty to human trafficking

A Winnipeg man who formerly worked for Child and Family Services has pleaded guilty in a human trafficking case.

Dale Richard Aymont, who was 43 at the time of his arrest in 2014, wascharged with human trafficking and several other related charges.

In a Winnipeg courtroom Friday, he loudly and firmly responded, "Guilty" tocounts of human trafficking and human exploitation.

Aymont met the victim in Winnipeg in 2014, andthe pair travelled to Brandon together in March of that year.

Police say Aymont started selling the woman's sexual services online, including helping her with advertising herself as an escort.

The victim began speaking to police which led to Aymont's arrest in November.

Aymont worked for Southeast CFS and officials there confirm to CBC he was fired for stealing employee data.

Sentencing for Aymont will be a full-day hearing on October 21, at which time his other charges will be heard.
