Winnipeg police investigate incident involving at least two vehicles on Osborne Street

Winnipeg police sectioned off the scene of an incident involving at least two vehicles spanning a few blocks in South Osborne on Saturday evening.

Winnipeg police sectioned off the scene of an incident involving at least two vehiclesspanning a few blocks of Osborne Street on Saturday evening.

Yellow tape surrounded an area between Woodward and Brandon avenues.

The Winnipeg Police Service hasyet to release details regardingthe circumstances of the incident.

A CBC reporter saw officersattending to a damaged truck that was stopped nearthe intersection of Osborne Street and Brandon Avenue. Multiple officers placed evidence markers on the ground near the truck.

Police alsoinvestigateda second vehicle near the intersection.

An SUVwas stopped near a church'sentrance ramp and stairs which were both damaged. The front of the vehicle was smashed in.

Bruce Huston, an area resident, saidhe heard what sounded like a"horrendous crash"and rushed outside from his home to see what had happened.He saw officers attending to peopleat the scenewhere multiple ambulances had been called.

"Itwas nothing but police cars every which way, I mean, you couldn't even move, they blocked off the whole area," Hustonsaid.

"It was unbelievable."

There's been no word from police yet on how many people were hurt or the nature of their injuries.

Winnipeg police also hadn't put out any information on the incidentas of Sunday evening.
