There is growing frustration among city councillors as the opening date for Winnipeg's new police headquarters gets pushed back yet again.

First scheduled to open in January 2014,thatdate was postponed to June, and thenfall, then a few weeks more, and now this summer. Maybe.

That date is still uncertain.

The projectconvertingthe former Canada Post building on Graham Avenue has been tangled inproblems. It ismore than $75-million over budget, wasflooded by an August downpour, and is part of an RCMP criminal investigation amid reports of doctored invoices.

The total cost has soared to $205 million.

Coun.Marty Morantz, chair of the city's finance committee, said the process has been infuriating.

"The point is, that they can't really say (when it will open) and that is very frustrating because the public wants to know when the interim occupancy permit will be available and the police will start moving in," he said.

"The answers we are getting are wholly unsatisfactory."
