Winnipeg police ID dead woman

Police have identified a woman whose body was found early Saturday at the rear of a Main Street building as April Helen Hornbrook, 24, of Winnipeg.

Police said they were called shortly after 9 a.m. CT to the rear of a vacant building in the 700 block of Main Street near Sutherland Avenue where the woman's body was found withinjuries to theupper body.

The Homicide unit is investigating.

Her death is the city's 28th homicide of 2011.
