Winnipeg police name Main Street shooting victim

Winnipeg police have released the name of a man who was shot and killed early Friday morning.
Police have name the a 24-year-old victim who was shot and killed at inside Johnny G's Friday.

Winnipeg police have released the name of a man who was shot and killed early Friday morning.

William Edward Moar, 24, of Winnipeg, was found by officers at Johnny G's restaurant on Main Street at about 2 a.m. CST suffering from a gunshot wound.

He later died from his injuries.

Main Street between Broadway and York Avenue was closed off until about 6 a.m. CST Friday, while police investigated inside the restaurant.

Officers were led to another address on the 500 block of Sherbrook Street.

At least four people of interest were taken from the home by police Friday morning in relation with the incident.

There is no word on charges.
