Woman dead, police investigate possible St. Boniface homicide

Winnipeg police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman in St. Boniface early Sunday morning.

Police called to 400 block of Tremblay Street early Sunday morning

Winnipeg police homicide detectivesare investigatingthe death of a woman in St. Boniface early Sundaymorning.

Police were called to the 400 block of Tremblay Street at 1:30 a.m.When they arrived, officers found a deceased woman.

Gregorchuksaid she awoke at around 1 a.m. to the sound of a woman banging on her front door, demanding to beletinto the house.

Gregorchukopened the window and asked the woman who she was. When she wouldn't answer, Gregorchukcalled police.

"I watched the cops come in," she said,adding police then walked thewoman, who they putin handcuffs, from the home and into the back of apolice cruiser.
