Family, RCMP asking for help to find missing Thompson woman who may be in Winnipeg

A 44-year-old woman from northern Manitoba who was reported missing by her family nearly two weeks ago may now be in Winnipeg, RCMP say.

A 44-year-old woman from northern Manitoba who was reported missing by her family nearly two weeks ago may now be in Winnipeg, RCMP say.

Carmen Chastelaine, from Thompson,was reported missing around noon on Sept. 11, 2024, after her family had not heard from her for a prolonged amount of time, RCMP said in a Tuesday news release.

Police have carried out searchesat the places Chastelaine often goes to in and around Thompson, andhave checked in with friends and family, RCMP say. Their investigation has led them to believeChastelaine may be in Winnipeg.

She is described as 5'6" andapproximately 185 pounds, with short brown hair. She has"Billy" tattooedon her neck.
