2 executives abruptly leave Manitoba's largest hospital
Health Sciences Centres chief operating officer and chief human resources officer gone effective immediately
Health Sciences Centre'schief operating officerDana Ericksonand chief human resources officer Deborah Hannah are no longer employed by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority"effective immediately," the WRHAannounced Tuesday.
Erickson has worked for the WRHA for 25 years, serving in financial, operational and clinical services roles. He also served as regional lead for diagnostic imaging, child health, women's health and clinical engineering.
In an email to CBC News, a WRHAspokesperson saidErickson's departure was a "personnel matter" and the authority is "grateful for his service."
Hannah worked at the hospital for two years.While the city's regional health authorityseeks a replacement for Hannah, Mike Bereziak will assume the role as acting chief human resources officer.
Thehealth authoritysays it will begin a national search to replaceEricksonat HSC, and in the meantime HSC'schief medical officer, Dr. Perry Gray, will step in as acting chief operating officerof the hospital.
