Ren Gagn, wholives in an apartment building nearPierre Street and Matte Avenue, said one of the gunshots was inside the building, and then several men broke into his unit, looking for a place to hide.
"Two hid in my daughter's bedroom. Two left through the back [door];one tried to get into my bathroom. After that, I said, 'You're getting out of here. I don't want this in my house,'" Gagn said.
He said one of the men lingered, trying to hide behind a curtain, but finally fled out the back door.
