The fourteen who pleaded guiltyThursdaymorning are part of a groupof 156 rounded up in 2009as part of operation SharQc.

They were originally facing charges including premeditated murder, butall pleaded guilty to the lesser chargeof conspiracy to commitmurder.

Sentencesfor each vary, but the majority will facearound 12 years. Since time already served counts as double, some of the 14 will be released soon.

Of the 156 people arrested, many have already pleaded guilty, and others have seen their charges dropped.

Following today's guilt pleas, there are only 12 accused left who areexpected to go to trial.
