About 100 investigators from the provinces anti-corruption unit visitedeight homes in the Montreal area on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Radio-Canada sources, the raids are linked to an investigation thats been going on at the Jewish General Hospitalsince last spring.

In April, Radio-Canada's Enqute program had revealed that some maintenance workers at the hospital, who worked for a subcontractor, said they were sent to do work at private homes -- including at the homes of two hospital managers.

It wasn't clear at the time who paid for the work. The two managers resigned.

The work was done during regular work hours and there were no invoices because the work was paid for in cash.

The Jewish General Hospital carried out its owninvestigation and the money was fully reimbursed.
