Boy, 4, dies after being found unconscious in Laval family pool

A four-year-old boy has died after he was found unconscious in his family pool in Laval.

Police arrived at the residence in the Sainte-Dorothe district around 3 p.m. and performed CPR on the boy.

When paramedics arrived, they continued trying to revivethe boy. They transported him to hospital where he was pronounced dead in the evening.

Police are investigating but say the incident was accidental.

There will also be a coroner's investigation.
