Montreal police found an apology note written by Dawson College gunman Kimveer Gill the day he went on a shooting rampage, according toreports Tuesday.

The Montreal Gazette said police discovered the note at Gill's home in the hours that followed his deadly attack on the Montreal college Sept. 13, 2006, in which one woman died and 20 others were injured.

In the note, dated the morning of the shootings, Gill apologizes to his family. Police found a second note lauding Americans Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the two teenagers who ambushed Columbine High School in Colorado in April 1999.

Police also found a list of addresses including Vanier College, Villa Maria High School, l'Universit de Montral and a gun club, and five boxes containing more than 200 bullets, according to the report.

Evidence seized at the Gill home was catalogued in a search warrant report that was missing from a courthouse in Montreal, which the Gazette obtained via a Crown prosecutor.
