Voting day is coming up for the42ndfederal election. It's time to make sure you're prepared.

Are you registered to vote?

Registered voters will receive an information card in the mail by Oct. 1. This card will say when and where to vote in your riding.

You can also check if you're registered on this website or by calling1-800-463-6868.

If you're not registered, or you want to make changes to your information, you have until 6 p.m.on Oct.13. After that deadlinethe only way to update your voter registration is at your polling place on election day.

How can you register to vote?

You can register by the same website you use to check if you're registered. You can also register to voteby mail orin person at an Elections Canada office, or at your local polling place during voting hours. Details here.

There will be hundreds of polling stations across Montreal. Thelocationswill be mailed to you if you are registered.
