CBC Charity Drive raises money for NDG Food Depot
NDG Food Depot offers variety of services including emergency food baskets and cooking workshops
This past March, 5,962children used food aid services in Cte-des-NeigesNotre-Dame-de-Grce, according toMoissonMontreal's annual Hunger Count.
Many of those children would have relied on services like theNDG Food Depot.
This year, all proceeds from the annualCBC Montreal Christmas Charity Drive wenttowards the NDG Food Depotand the various programs and workshops it offers to the community.

The depot, which has been serving the community since 1986, is a non-profit organization that distributes food to thousands of families in NDG,Westmountand Montreal West.
Itsemergency food basket programoffers basic grocery items such as milk, rice, pasta and fruit twice a month to individuals and families in need.
The depotalso runs workshops to educate families about healthy eating and nutrition, such as community gardens and cooking workshops like theBote Lunch program, which offers freeclasses tochildren and teenagers.
