Loud and proud: CBC Montreal at Pride

The 34th annual Pride Parade takes place on Aug. 19 and for the first time ever, CBC Montreal will be participating.

Purple shirts and rainbow gems set to take over Sunday's parade

CBC Montreal's Melinda Dalton, Elias Abboud, Andrea Stanford, Jennifer Yoon and Nantali Indongo proudly model the CBC Pride T-shirts.

The 34th annual Pride parade takes place on Aug. 19 and for the first time ever, CBC Montreal will be participating.

More than 9,000 people are expected to walkin the event, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Quebec Premier PhilippeCouillardand Montreal MayorValriePlante.

On air personalities Mike Finnerty, Sean Henry and Shari Okekeare among the many CBCMontreal Staff attending. Look out for us in our purple Pride T-shirts and cheer us on!

The parade starts at 1 p.m. and runs alongRen-Lvesquefrom Metcalfe Street toAlexandre-DeSve Street in the village. There will be a moment of silence at2:30.
