A pandemic doesn't put a pause on the need for your kindness and generosity.

In fact, this year the need is stronger than ever. Now is the perfect time to give back to your community.

Whether it's donating to CBC Montreal charity of the yearTyndale St-Georges Community Centreor simply doing something kind for someone else,we want to hear about it as part of ourMake the Season Kindcampaign.

By sharing your act of kindness, you'll beentered into a draw to win some CBCswag and may even get a chance to be interviewed on radio or television.

How to share your story

E-mail us at mtlcomm@cbc.ca with a short message abouthow you gave or received anact of kindness this year. You can also message us through our Facebook and Instagram pages. The deadline to submit is December 24. The draw will take place on the same day. Only winners will be contacted.

Many of us have been impacted financially by the pandemic, limiting us in ways we might traditionally contribute. But there are many opportunities to spread generosity and kindness aside from making monetary donations.

Add a spark to someone's day by considering the following acts of kindness:

  1. Call an elderly family member, friend or neighbour to check in on them.

  2. Help someone in your household with a chore or task.

  3. Send a thank-you letter or email to a front line worker (teacher, doctor, nurse, etc.) that has helped you or someone close to you.

  4. Make something special for your teacher.

  5. Make holiday cards for community senior homes.

No act of kindness is too big or too small! Put a smile on your own face and the faces of others by spreading acts of kindness in your community.

During the month of December, CBC will be working with Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre to showcase stories of people in our community who are making a difference for our "Make the Season Kind" campaign.
