Another cyclist has died on Quebec roads a 57-year-old man who was struck by a car in the town of Val Morin in the Laurentians on Saturday.

The man was riding alone on the shoulder of Highway 117, also known as Labelle Boulevard, when he was hit just after 8 p.m. ET, said Sgt. Richard Gagn ofQuebec provincial police.

The cyclist died in hospital a few hours later. Other details were not immediately available.

Gagnsaid a 44-year-old woman will be charged with impaired driving causing death. The crashcomes just two days after a 29-year-old driver of a pickup truck crashed into a group of cyclists on a highway in Rougemont, killing three and injuring three others.

Alcohol was not a factor in that incident, but the coroner investigating has said he will still be looking at whether the pickupwas on cruise control. If that was the case, it's possible the driver was not fully concentrating on the road, Andr Dandavino said.
