In his last political column onDaybreakbefore the summer, Bernard St-Laurenttalks about the disappointment and anger from Montrealers in the wake of Michael Applebaum's arrest.

He weighs in on the timing of the arrests, pointing out that a group of councillors and other people had a scenario where "Applebaum could have run for the mayoralty starting in later September, early October and with this now, it will be impossible for that to happen."
