Throughout December, CBC will collaborate with Family Tiesto showcase stories of people in thiscommunitywho are making a difference.

About Family Ties New Carlisle

Family Ties is based in New Carlisle, in the Gasp region. It provides information, education, and intervention for the English-speaking families of the area, including support for families with special needs. Throughout the pandemic, the organization has continued to offer practical and emotional support to local residents.

• Once a preschool, Family Ties New Carlisle now serves an entire anglophone community in Gasp
• Family Ties New Carlisle's Buds program builds confidence and a sense of belonging

Family Ties executive director Heather MacWhirter was delighted to have been selected. "Since the COVID-19 crisis began, we have been working even harder to support English-speakers living in and around New Carlisle in any way we can. Being featured on CBC will allow people from across the province to learn about our organization and understand the needs of the families we serve", she says.
