The woman was treated for shock when she saw her husband in this situation, said Montreal police spokesman Simon Delorme.

The bus driver was also treated for shock.

The metro station was crowded with confused commuters, trying to figure out where to go while police investigators temporarily closed part of the street Friday afternoon.

Dan Lambert, a cycling and pedestrian advocate, told CBC Montreal hes not surprised an accident took place there.

Theres many buses turning into the turning circle at Vendme. The problem is the traffic lights. Theres a green light for the buses to turn in at the same time as the pedestrian crossing light, Lambert said.
