The Montreal Canadiens beat the Ottawa Senators 4-3 in Game 1 of the first-round playoff series.

It was action-packed, filled with goals, penalties, injuries,a game misconduct call and fighting.

The game hadn't even started yet, but the cheering fromHabs fans donning their red jerseys at the Bell Centrewas deafening. They were ready for Habs' lucky charm Ginette Reno to belt out O Canada.

The first goalof the series was scored by Canadiens playerAndrei Markov. The problem was, it was in his own net.

Fans took advantage of the intermission to calm their nerves, and makea game plan on how to get past Ottawa goaltender Andrew Hammond a.k.a. "the Hamburglar."

It wasn't long before the scoring kicked off for the Habsin a big way: two goals in 15 seconds.

Fans got riled up in the second period when Habs defenceman P.K. Subban was ejected from the game for slashingSenators rookie Mark Stone.

The goals kept coming on both sides, though fans questioned whether the referees were playing fair.
