Montreal police arrest 2 minors in connection with Ahuntsic restaurant fires

Montreal police have arrested two minors in connection with a series of suspicious fires set at a restaurant in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

Montreal police have arrested two minors in connection with a series of suspicious fires set at Ezo restaurant in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

The incident early Friday morning marks the third timetherestaurant on del'AcadieBoulevard has been torched in the last three weeks.

The arson investigators say three suspects were involved in the first incident on Jan. 11, and that one of them was stopped at the scene the second time, Jan. 21.

On Friday, police arrested a second person in connection with the fires.

Officials say there will likely be other arrests in this file.

The fire Friday morning started around 4 a.m. after an object was thrown through the front door made of glass, said police spokespersonBenoitBoisselle.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames, but there was some minor damage to the restaurant.

No one was hurt.
